It’s here, it’s here! Fall is finally here and the weather is starting to cool, at least a smidge. Nights are getting noticeably longer and I am going to restock my coffee and hot tea supplies so I can gorge myself on the hot drinks I missed during the summer. Pumpkin flavoring is everywhere you turn and I’m a happy girl.

The last quarter of the year is a busy one for our household. Starting in late September with my husbands birthday we are hit with a birthday, anniversary or holiday almost every two weeks until after New Years. So when I start looking at the calendar it hits me.

What happened to my writing goals for the year? I set them in January and swore I’d stick to them. With only three months left in the year it’s past time I do some evaluation. Where am I?

Actually, I haven’t done too badly. I may be a little behind, but it’s nothing that I can’t catch up on if I buckle down and as they say, put my fingers to the keys. When I received my first acceptance for this year I told myself to shoot for at least two more.

I should have happy news to share soon which will bring more work with it, but all for a good reason-my second acceptance for 2013. But if I’m going to get my third for the year, I’m thinking I need to get as many words down as I can before I get hit with edits and all the work that come with publishing.

And that’s fine by me. It’s work that I love.
